Today, the Senate voted 34-22 to pass Senate Bill 319, constitutional carry. There was an effort by opponents to defeat the bill by attaching an amendment to criminalize private transfers of firearms, but the Senate rejected that effort, also by a vote of 34-22. SB 319 will now go to the House for further consideration.
